New Ink- The Mark Of Eibon

In one of my favorite films, The Beyond (see my October Halloween Horrors entry), a German warlock named Sweick painted pictures of Hell in his room at a hotel in Louisiana situated on one of the seven gates to Hell. Sweick had the Book of Eibon, a supernatural tome , and bore the Mark of Eibon on his arm. The mark was also on the wall of the cellar. The locals lynched him, not realizing that he was keeping the gate to Hell closed. Later, in the modern day, his vengeful spectre returned to open the gate. I got this inked on my arm today as a warm-up for a more elaborate piece I'm getting in a few weeks.

The Mark , and a quote from the Book, can also be seen at the top of my page.
Now, I wonder if there's a gate here in Texas...

Pretty cool. A kind of sword and Scythe crossed.

Charles, Thanks! I always thought it was a cool design-kind of reminiscent of planetary or alchemical symbols.

Gearing up for something more elaborate, eh ? Cool.

Believe it or not, Heff has NO tats.

Hey Scott,

Great image! I love it! I admire people who can decide on a symbol or picture and go with it. I've been toying with the idea for years and might take the plunge. Love the quote at the top of the page -- I'm all about the darkness. :)

M.A., you have.

Heff, I'll be getting the first part of my next one done on the
17th, and probably finishing it up early February. I'm pretty stoked about it.

Michelle, I went from not knowing what my next one was going to be to having ideas for the next few tattoos. Just make sure you really like the design! If you haven't realized it by now, yeah, I'm all about the darkness, too,LOL.

the photos by far do it no justice. the white on that piece is very nice.

M.A., thanks.

I love this tat! It's simple and obscure all at the same time. Very cool.

V.A., thank you! I don't know if the pics show it, but there ois some nice detail in the shades of red , and some white thrown in there, too. Miles (my tattoo artist)can take a simple thing and make it into a work of art. I also like the mystery of it...no one yet has known what it is. I guess someday I'll run into someone who knows it.

I like that! I was honored by a Canadian friend who got my "great blue heron" painting tattooed on her leg.

Lana, that is cool!
