I love Frankestein and am going as the Bride of Frankestein this year for Halloween (a costume I've never tried). Hope you'r having a good week!Michelle's Spellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15769666862403600253noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1217862533477951700.post-3998754996362941912009-09-29T20:35:49.174-07:002009-09-29T20:35:49.174-07:00Ouch, dental surgery is no fun. I'm at the point where anything less than IV actually wears off on me halfway through, which can be rather harrowing, so I sympathize.

As for monster flicks, I tended to associate with "other" types when I was younger, too. I tended toward beasts, robots, and obvious foreigners or space aliens in my preference, which to me now looks like an indication, even at a young age, of the degree to which I felt I didn't fit in with my surroundings. I never identified with the Damsel types, only rarely identified with the Hero, and usually ended up on the side of the Villain, if for no other reason than the Damsel was a loser and the Hero was a chump, and neither of them reflected my values.

Interesting how we foreshadow our own development, huh?Lisahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11741911734096660701noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1217862533477951700.post-30114792721920408962009-09-29T07:50:43.320-07:002009-09-29T07:50:43.320-07:00That dentist visit would be all the Horror I neede...That dentist visit would be all the Horror I needed !Heffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13396114362826135207noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1217862533477951700.post-89224910475692060742009-09-26T22:56:05.936-07:002009-09-26T22:56:05.936-07:00Wil,

My folks didn't seem to mind watching horror films, but that may be due in part that there weren't 100 channels to choose from back then.

Paul,

I agree; the more sequels there were, the worse they got. Unfortunately, I didn't see the original Frankenstein until I was an adult, and by then I wasn't able to get hooked into it. My parents wouldn't let me watch such things, althogh part of it was we only had one TV and in those days parents watched what they wanted to watch first.Charles Gramlichhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02052592247572253641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1217862533477951700.post-16145715393814027212009-09-25T03:08:28.491-07:002009-09-25T03:08:28.491-07:00God that sounds like a shitty procedure.
